Perfect place for our weekend trip to see 3 Doors Down. Great view in a peaceful neighborhood. Property was as described in listing.

The owners called us the day before our arrival to touch base. While we were at the rental, we had a very rare unfortunate experience out of the owners control and they stayed on top of the situation and communicated with us frequently giving us updates. Something we rarely see these days unfortunately. They kept us informed and provided alternate solutions to make our stay they best it could have been under the short-term unfortunate situation. Really thought they handled the situation extremely well and we enjoyed our stay!

Everything was nice, nice view of the lake, we were able to go kayaking right from the property. Not far from the beach. Very nice area, community.

The view and yard are the main attractions in this tiny house. There was plenty of wildlife to see and we were able to launch our kayaks right off of the yard. The neighbors were friendly and the host was responsive and easy to communicate with. The neighborhood pool was nice and the walk to the beach is about half a mile. There are beach chairs and a beach cart for your use. The main bed was comfortable and the inside was clean.
We enjoyed the outside porch, which is mostly enclosed with vinyl curtains, but it could use a good cleaning and some new furniture. It did add to the size of the useable space of the home, but it also got pretty hot out there. That said, I was able to eat breakfast every morning on the porch and enjoy the view.
It's very cramped inside, especially if you have 4 people and use the couch as a bed, but we anticipated that and it was fine for us because we spent most of our time at the beach, kayaking from the yard, on the porch, or hanging out with friends at the Sanctuary condos across the street. Unexpected bonus--my 20-something kids were happily obsessed with everything about the tiny house. They loved it!
We did find it difficult to cook a large meal because of the cramped quarters and also the lack of/disorganization of the kitchen cookware, tools, etc.
We also loved that it is pet friendly. Overall we had a great stay and I would definitely go back.

Great spot, short walk to the beach. Unit was nice and clean when we arrived and Stephanie was there to greet us. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Would stay again!

Mobil home on the Bay
This was a mobil home (not a "cottage") right on Chesapeake Bay that was in a good location. It was a short 10 minute walk to the beach and a 30 - 45 minute drive to Virginia Beach/Norfolk attractions. It was a perfect size place for 2 people and we were happy to be able to bring our 2 small dogs without paying a huge extra fee to have them there. The furniture was clean and comfortable. The pictures on VRBO are a little outdated. We enjoyed our stay!

Just Perfect
We stayed here for our 50th Wedding Anniversary and it was just perfect. The location and the beautiful views from the deck was just what we needed. The cottage has a great deck and porch area. Location to the beach and nice restaurants a plus for our stay. Will be back for a stay.

Surfside neighborhood was quiet, a short walk to the beach, short drive to the trails in Back Bay Wildlife Refuge (I ran but not everyone is crazy!), and the trailer was clean and exactly as pictured. My twin 10 year olds shared the pullout couch and there was plenty of room for them both. Appliances beyond what is usual —- fridge, stove, microwave —- toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, crockpot. Gas grill, large porch, and the view of the bay is perfection! We will be back next year, at Dun e Nuf, if available, if not, definitely at Surfside.

Was a very relaxing and cozy place. Beautiful view with visitors from ducks, turtles, and cranes! Short walk to the beach! Great restaurant right beside the location!

We had not had a vacation since 2019. Saw this place online and decided it was perfect no-fuss respite. Great place and friendly and attentive owner. We loved this mobile home and enjoyed our stay. Just by the bay. Perfect place for relaxation. The owner was super helpful and attended to our needs. Anytime I needed something or had a question she would text or call me and even sometimes stop by to check us. The only issue was Elsa the topical storm. It was only a day but scared us a little bit. I had naps on the porch listening to the water lap on the head wall and the breeze keeping things cool! The porch is awesome with roll-up sides and as much room as the inside! The back bay water was just a few steps away for our rented Kayak. The beach is just a few blocks away! The Baja Restaurant next door was amazing and they have a coffee place open in the mornings. The RV has one bedroom with a decent sized closet and a TV. The shower is full sized. Water pressure is not the best, but not bad either - as good as we expected. The kitchen has plenty of room with large refrigerator and gas stove. Lots of natural sun light through the windows. The little living area was so cozy for watching TV in the evenings. My hubby worked remotely for a few days and had no trouble with the internet. My sweet doggy even loved our time on the Back Bay! Definitely planning another visit to this awesome retreat!

We arranged a check in time as they were flexible and they were on time in meeting us. The property was very nice. They provided towels, extra pillows for our kids and everything we would need for our stay. They also included some extra amenities that we were able to use during our stay. WIFI and access to the property were easy. The outdoor living space/patio was absolutely fantastic. This was our first time staying in a VRBO and we were impressed. Would definitely recommend, two thumbs up .
