Great location! Clean room! Responsive service!

Beautiful room with endless little details illustrating its charm. If you’re looking for 1-2 nights close to everything on Kings St. this is your spot.

The place and location were amazing. Exactly what we expected and looking for. The post was transparent about the stairs and size. You need to understand that you will go down a spiral staircase with luggage. You need to understand that the room and shower is smaller than a standard hotel room. If you understand and accept those items, the place is amazing. If you don't have an understanding of them, you could be disappointed. We loved the place. It's a great vibe and in a great location - close to King St but away and quiet. We would 100% go back. Thank you for a great stay.

The Charlestonian is in a quiet, safe and quaint section within easy walking distance of king street. Check-in and check out were fine, however I unfortunately would not stay here again. The patio suite was very dusty and smelled like mildew, there were fingerprints on the light switches that should have easily been cleaned by the crew. On the third day of our stay, we were messaged by the host informing us that an HVAC cleaning would be taking place in our suite only 15 minutes before the cleaners arrived. As people do, we were out and about when this message was received and were unable to retrieve/hide important items in our room. They entered the room with all of our belongings and moved some belongings around without us being present causing undue stress and anxiety. Upon messaging the host about this inconvenience, we were messaged back with the response that this maintenance is necessary to prevent emergencies and that “they are sorry that we felt we were inconvenienced”. We were not offered any type of compensation for this either. I would not stay here again and would recommend a different hotel while visiting beautiful Charleston.
