It was a superb location for us as we were walking sections of the coast most days and also the local buses were just a short walk away.It was also a quiet location with not much through traffic so had a good nights sleep as well.

The apartment probably could have had a few more information leaflets of the area the one for the local fish and chip shop was a few years out of date (fish and chips £6.50 more like £10.50!)Perhaps also it would of been nice to have some milk in the fridge on arrival.

The location was excellent. A short walk down to the seafront, the vista there and Joe's ice cream!. My wife and I have lived in Swansea, so we were familiar with best places to visit on the Gower Peninsula and catch up with old friends.

I hadn't realised the property had no separate bedroom as such, that it was open plan (apart from the bathroom and kitchen). The bedroom only separated from the living room by curtains. So this made it difficult if one of us wanted to watch television and the other read a book for example. The property is advertised as one bedroom, although perhaps I should have realised because it is called a studio. The accommodation is fine if you realise this is the situation when you book it. The mattress was also thin and I could feel the springs. I think it should be replaced.

The location near Mumbles "top" shops - shops at the top of the hill - was almost perfect for us. The studio apartment, with a space off the living area for a double bed, was compact but all that was necessary. Kitchen facilities were fine though we did no more than prepare drinks and snacks. It was great to sit out in the sun on our terrace and useful to have a drying line for our washing. The bathroom was comfortable with a decent shower over the bath and if you so desired there was room to swing a cat. Despite our reservations we would stay here again.

The owner told us HFH staff had cleaned the apartment before our arrival, but we had to sweep the kitchen floor, there were plenty of cobwebs, and it seemed a bit grubby. WiFi seemed patchy. The towels and bed linen need refreshing. Finding an on street parking space for our hire car was difficult. There was no view, although the photographs in the advert suggested there was. Although the address is Queen Street the entrance is actually on Stanley Street, it took us a few minutes to work this out!
