We spent a lovely week at this cottage in Llangadfan, and the location really is ideal — perfectly placed for exploring mid Wales and Snowdonia, with beautiful countryside all around. The cottage itself is full of charm and character, and the owner made a genuinely good impression — welcoming and helpful throughout. That said, the property would benefit from some firm maintenance and a thorough deep clean. We noticed some mould and dust, and unfortunately quite a few flies, which took the shine off an otherwise great stay. With a bit of care and attention, this could easily be a five-star gem. We'd love to see it restored to its full potential — the bones are all there!

Lovely location and super weather to match. Stephen and Shani were very welcoming and extremely keen to make our stay a lovely one. The children loved the barbecue and stove - so kind to supply wood and firelighters - very rare these days. Thank you.

All good.

Beautiful, characterful cottage in an idyllic location. The interior was actually much more spacious than it appeared in the photos and we had everything we needed for our stay. The perfect escape from it all. Shani and Stephen were friendly without being intrusive and very accommodating. We had a wonderful few days and definitely plan to return at some point.

The floorboards were quite creaky but that only added to the authentic character of the place.
