Location Dog friendly Logs and firelighters

Heating temperamental no heat first night and no hot water second. Old system poor instructions. Poorly equipped kitchen. Tired decor cleanish Front door insecure without key. Hard sofa. Lots of helpful comments in visitors books have not been acted on in years . Run on a budget and not good value....stayed years ago gone downhill and no investment. Garden gate very hard to open and close .... Not to standard advertised The location saves the property

The remoteness

The location was perfect, the quietness was good, having a bath after a long walk was good. Short walk down the path to the beach or cliff top was great.

The cleanliness wasn't good, I left it cleaner than when we arrived. The fire was ok, it hadn't been cleaned out, so had to do that before I could make a fire, the grate was broke it had a lot of odd stones under it to keep it from collapsing, the wood kept falling out of the fire, good job there was a fireguard, quite dangerous really, maybe upgrade it to a log burner to make it more safe. Inside the washing machine was all black, so had to scrub it first before I could use it. The downstairs could do with a bit of TLC, just a mish mash of things on the walls, and in the kitchen, for the price we paid I was expecting a little more. Didn't like the garden, was full of midges and dragonfly's because of the pond, so didn't sit out there. Maybe have some fixed seating on the wall outside the back door to chill out after along walk.

Quiet location with stunning cliff top views. Cottage is well equipped, clean and comfortable with parking space.

A small welcome pack would have been nice. Electricity was switched off on arrival so it took a while for the storage heaters to warm up.

The wonderful views and peaceful location. It was lovely to sit in summerhouse in the evening having a drink and taking in the superb countryside views
