We visited for the QCMM, and the location was perfect for it. It is a short walk to/from the train station and to/from downtown. Staff (when available) was very friendly and helpful. We loved the historic building and the grounds! Bed was comfortable.
At the steep price we paid for the room, we would have expected more. The furniture showed marks of being older already (peeling paint, scratches, etc.) despite being quite modern. The bathroom lacked essentials (hooks for towels, a bath mat, etc.). At times, you also had to wait quite a bit to talk to a staff member as they seemed understaffed and were often away from the desk.

We like the location being somewhat close to our venue. I like that the location has history.
Our walls were paper thin. There was a wedding party that took over most of the property and we could hear them day and night. They actually asked my husband to get off the porch where he was reading and he did. I also thought our room came with a bathtub, but it was just a shower.

We liked the history and the entire place was exceptionally nice.
The staff seemed lazy and did not give 2 keys for our stay. We had to go back to ask for another one for our group. We never received a call when the item we needed for our stay so we had to go back to the front desk to inquire.

It was a beautiful place and cool that it has historical significance. The area also seemed quite nice.
However, being that is an old building comes with it lots of creaky floors and doors so it’s hard to sleep hearing all the noises from visitors moving about at night plus you can hear the plumbing which again I’m sure comes with an aging system. But this wouldn’t deter me from staying there again as I still enjoyed my stay at the Blackburn Inn.
