9h nine hours Akasaka

The staff were clear and efficient and spoke great English. The location was close to the train station and many attractions and restaurant. Surprisngly the outlets in the lounge are US style. The capsules were clean and the sleep analysis was a very nice addition.

As others have mentioned, the showers do smell and it can be a little inconveneint that rooms and lockers cannot be accessed during cleaning time. Also the locker are is small so it can be difficult to access and open larger luggage when there are multiple people.

- the capsules suited me personally, I like the vibe. - I appreciated new towels, pyjamas every day. - though sometimes musty in the basement, bathrooms were clean and showers and sinks were maintained. - in a typhoon head office evacuated us (the first time ever for this 9hrs) and the staff managed this well, despite a language barrier. - people staying there were always nice and respectful, I appreciated the group kindness and community feeling. - In future I would consider staying in a different 9hours location with more space. I'm happy with the privacy of the pod and community feeling but not the tight spaces and limited space in the morning and evenings to get ready comfortably.

- Lack of access to the pods and lockers during cleaning times is a sign of poor planning. - The same poor planning means space is limited for lockers, we struggled to dry out clothes and umbrellas post typhoon, and had to think outside the box. But even when we did, staff would move our drying clothes, causing panic. - Staff were clearly overworked, they would be clearly irritated at times, and I felt bad for them. - Lounge space is limited, so for people working it may not suit you due to a lack of privacy. - Bedding is hard, the pod is not fully dark and you can't control the AC in the pod, this is fine for me but others may dislike it.

The cleanliness in the shower was not so good

We booked the hotel for the experience of cabin rooms. For me okey and for the rest of the family mix feelings. Good value for money, comfortable. Okey for one night.

Poor English language - we had to use the tablet to communicate, we couldn't leave luggage after checking out.
