Wir sind eine 15-minütige Fahrt von zahlreichen Wanderwegen, Wasserfällen und historischen Stätten entfernt. Restaurants, Lebensmittelgeschäfte und die Ram Cat Alley / Innenstadt von Seneca liegen nur wenige Minuten entfernt. Die Keowee Marina befindet sich fünf Minuten von der Straße entfernt, in der Sie Boote / Wasserspielzeug mieten oder sich in der Tiki Hut-Seebar erfrischen können. This place was BEAUTIFUL and well stocked!!. However... the reason I feel compelled to lower my rating is my husband and I had booked this for 32 nights almost a year ago, as it was advertised as a "no pet allowed" property. Within 30 min of our entrance we noticed visible dog hair on all the cushions inside and out. My husband has emphysema, asthma, and is severely allergic to dogs. We immediately went to purchase some bed linen to cover the furniture. I then contacted the host and asked if the property was pet friendly. His response was that typically dogs were not allowed, but he had a good friend spend a couple weeks there in Jan with his two dogs. I explained that my husband had severe allergies to dogs. He apologized and offered to refund us for the linen ( which he never did).. and suggested we purchase a vacuum and he would reimburse. We decided to see how it went with the linen. My husband developed a cough, congestion, headache, and needed to use his rescue inhaler. That evening when we returned, I vacuumed and used a wet swiffer to clean the floors ( using 4 pads). I sent photos of the dirty pads and visible dog hair to Drexell. His "cleaner " was supposed to have been there Mon. We arrived Wed. We opened all windows Thur and Fri, leaving for lengthy times. I told Drexell of my husband's symptoms . He then informed us his "cleaner " could not come until Fri. With the "return" clean, my attempts, and aeration, my husband's symptoms did not improve. I considered taking him to an Urgent Care. Sat morning he called Drexell, asking if other arrangements could be made , since given his new health issues it was very unlikely we would be able to stay the full time- until March 13. We were led to believe that Drexell would check into other accommodations for us. Within minutes, our reservation had been cancelled without our knowledge!. Drexell also admitted that his own dog had been there for a week in January. So THREE weeks in January there were dogs!! "NO PETS ALLOWED". is how this property is advertised. We lost money and had to move on. How can this be ok? ? We notified VRBO and were told they couldn't help. We were reimbursed 2/3 of our cost. We do appreciate the partial refund we received, but this was NOT our fault. Stayed only 31/2 days. We needed to move on. Also, in Drexell's cancellation he notes that his profile pic had himself with his dog.. therefore, we should have asked if dogs had been inside!! REALLY!!????

Interesting Peaceful Respite On Lake Keowee
A quiet, picturesque, spacious accommodation located immediately on the lake with a well equipped kitchen (so important during the pandemic when we hesitate to dine out) and other amenities such as a well stocked supermarket minutes away and some good restaurants for takeout as well. Walking the nearby hills were a challenge at first but soon became managable with repetition.

My husband and I stayed at Drexel and Sally’s property for the month of February 2021. They had just repainted the entire property along with new upstairs carpet, new master shower, and other improvements. The home is very comfortable and had everything we needed for a months stay. It was a great location near the Marina. We enjoyed being right on Lake Keowee. Drexel is a great host and is very quick to respond to any issues that arose during our stay and made sure those issues were resolved quickly. The neighborhood is great and people there are very friendly. I would highly recommend this property and we will definitely would stay there in the future when we are in the area in the near future.

It was a great location near the Marina. We enjoyed being right on Lake Keowee. Drexel is a great host and is very quick to respond to any issues that arose during our stay and made sure those issues were resolved quickly. The neighborhood is great and people there are very friendly. I would highly recommend this property and we will definitely would stay there in the future when we are in the area in the near future.

This place was perfect for a winter visit with our Clemson Tiger! It's very clean, and the kitchen is well-equipped. We burned lots of wood in the stone fireplace, and enjoyed coffee on the porch with a view of the water. We hope to return next year!
