Pestana Kruger Lodge

Stunning sunsets and excellent views. Food was very well presented, ticked all the boxes and cooked to perfection. The barman, Ryan, was an excellent representative and made sure everyone was looked after. In addition, the arranged game drive was very good.

A couple of additional couches needed as well as upgrades on some of the facilities like the Spa, swimming pools and also some of the food, stated on the menu, was not available in the kitchen.

It's a place that offers good value for money. It's our second time there, with the kids. The family rooms are not big, but they're not very small either. There's a big bed and a couch for two kids. The rooms are clean and most of them are close to the river. The positive side is that it includes a nice breakfast buffet, and the view from the deck of the Kruger, Malelane Gate, Crocodile River, and bridge is amazing. On our last day, we had breakfast while watching hippos, giraffes, impalas, birds, and more. The deck is a nice place to spend time with the family and enjoy the view at any time of day. The kids enjoyed the water slide and swimming pool.

To improve, the matrimonial bed was uncomfortable due to the gap between the two separate beds and the separate bedding. The water slide could be improved a little bit, to avoid getting stuck in the middle. Anyways the kids enjoyed it!

Excellent breakfast, best location to stay outside of Kruger Park, friendly environment, wonderful view while having lunch or dinner or just taking a beer at sunset.

Close to Malelane Gate

Rooms are very outdated, didnt feel clean. Restaurant service terrible and very slow. Not enough towels. Tiny towels. Sleeper couch very small and uncomfortable.
