ASARA Wine Estate & Hotel

Spent a couple of nights at Asara Wine Estate and it was just what we needed. The views of the vineyards, lake and mountains from our private balcony was gorgeous, and the whole vibe is super peaceful and relaxing. The room was very clean and the piillow option was a welcome surprise. The underfloor heating and heated towel racks are simply premium on cold mornings. We also received a complimentary bottle of wine, and a birthday surprise, and they also leave you cute lil treats during turndown. Breakfast was exceptional. ​Great food, beautiful grounds to stroll around (which we highly recommend) and amazing wine—definitely a fantastic little Stellenbosch getaway. Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful location. Stunning big comfortable rooms and bed linen. Very clean

There were guests at the hotel especially in the restaurant that were incredibly loud. Feel like the staff could have just asked them to keep it down and be mindful of other guests

The breakfast was great and we had wonderful views from our room. A friendly check in. It's a beautiful place and a stunning setting, but just needs more love.

The room needs an update. No turndown service, which for me is a requirement for a "five star" hotel. No acknowledgement of a special occasion, the mini bars are just empty fridges without any drinks or snacks which is also not to 5 star standard. The room was clean on the surface, but trash on the floor, hairs in the soap dish, grimey glasses made me feel a little off. Overall, it was acceptable for the special rate that we paid, but I'm not going to rush back...
