Thon Hotel Cecil

Hotel is in good condition with nicely appointed rooms. Close to House of parliament 6 min bus ride from central railway station. Breakfast excellent

Some renovations going on....drilling heard after 9:30. Staff were friendly and helpful

A firmer pillow would have been wonderful.

The breakfast was first class as well as the availability of light evening meal. Location was excellent.

Two lift system

The gym is fantastic with a fabulous outlook. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is great. Breakfast was excellent. A light complimentary dinner is available in the evenings.

It is a personal thing but from what I could see all of the rooms are interior facing with a window that can't be opened and it overlooks the atrium where breakfast is served. Unless you close the blackout curtains, it is not private. There were scheduled works on the 8th floor (which I wasn't told about prior to arrival or on checkin) I spoke to the Manager, they offered I could move rooms but for a two night stay I didn't wish to. The Manager did apologise but I hope they know to inform guests in advance in the future and offer the option to stay on a different floor at the time of check-in.
