Barcelo Coconut Island, Phuket

Sehr schöne Anlage, vorallem rund um den Pool mit den Restaurants und Strand. Erhielten ein Zimmerupgrade für das Lux und das Personal war generell sehr freundlich, interessiert und hilfsbereit und ging auf Anliegen ein.

Beim Restaurant mit dem Holzboden sind sehr viele Mücken, man muss sich richtig einsprühen mit Spray. Preis-Leistung fürs Essen passt nicht so, haben in den Restaurants ausserhalb besser und günstiger gegessen.

We spent 5 nights at this lovely resort. The grounds were well maintained. It was nice having a small "private" pool behind our room. Gym was very nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice pools, updated facility, transport to and from the island. Extensive breakfast hot and cold options.

Slipped and fell on the "boardwalk" leading down to the restaurant. There is a steeper area and the wood slats were a little moist from the dew. Staff was apologetic. I hope they will roughen up this part of the walkway.

There is no perfect place, but there is a mindset to make it as perfect as possible, and this was definitely the case here! We really appreciated the attentiveness of the stuff, the facilities were great (including a wonderful water slide), and food during breakfast and dinner.

Some things that you would expect from a five start resort to be better, such as the ferry transportation to and from the resort (which sometimes was messy and disorganised), and small bugs that came into the room through the small cracks in the door. Again, there is no perfect and hopefully these can improve for future guests.

The location was wonderful.. beautiful beach and facility..

The service was no where close to 5 star. There are multiple occasions when we called reception from the villa and no one picked up the calls. Check in time is 2pm, our villa wasn't ready until 5pm. Room service food is served in take away containers. House keeping does not respond to calls for hours.. very limited options for food.. there are 4 restaurants but one is closed, another one is adults only.. left with only 2 options.. food taste is also very average.. nothing tastes exceptional. Fruits and salad bar in breakfast buffet are kept without any ice.. if you are late for breakfast, these are already oxidised.. need to very careful..
