Very attentive staff, good breakfast and dinner. Room spacious and clean but housekeeping team could pay more attention to details (thick dust on the top of the chest of drawer which was not noticed during our 4 days stay). It was not a problem for us though.
Hotel in a lovely location but in a need of updating (some areas).
I went to use the pool, but the area was quite dated and because of that, it did not seem that clean to me.
I did not swim (which was disappointing) as I noticed on the edges of the pool black, moldlike substance which could have been a black algae which is a type of bacteria. This is just observation and of course I was not sure what that was. It just put me off getting into the pool as I did not want to risk skin problems. I would advise the hotel management to check what that substance could be.

Dinner was excellent as was the service, very friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. I adored the cat Jasper. Everywhere was clean. It was easy to park and access the WiFi.
I would have given this hotel a 10 if breakfast was a bit faster. We were staying to attend a meeting and whilst others were enjoying taking there time we were on a bit of a schedule and waiting over 15 minutes for tea and coffee to arrive and our breakfast order to be taken was not in our plan. It's just a case of knowing your customers if they are staying for business then a leisurely breakfast may not be for them.
