Excellent hotel, brilliantly located near the town and waterfront, modern and clean with very good facilities (rooms, bar, public areas etc) esp considering the price. Was especially impressed with the excellent service throughout and the range and quality of the breakfast.

The lifts were a bit scruffy and let the 'vibe' of the place down a bit compared to all the other public areas, which were very modern and welcoming, but that's a very minor point.

The location is brilliant

I thought it was over priced for what it was, the hotel is tired and really needs a complete makeover. The plug in my room was loose, the bathroom door didn’t close properly and the shower made a very loud noise when it was on. The tunnel to the car park smelt of bad drains and the lift has a mind of its own

Great clean Hotel with friendly staff

Fab place nice rooms our superior on the 5th floor had a view of the lake. The outdoor roof terrace at the bar was nice to enjoy drinks & relaxation out in the sun on deckchairs or seats. Great sunset too. Staff went above & beyond to see you had what you needed for a nice time away too. Will return for sure.

Parking £15 so leave your car outside their underground parking for £4.50 overnight seems safe to.

The breakfast was really good, all the food in the buffet was nice and hot.

Bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were probability the worst I’ve ever had in a 4* hotel.

Would of liked mini bar in room and coat hooks. overall then property was nice but needs a little tlc.

This hotel had great decor and was lovely and clean.

Left stood at the bar for a good 10-15 mins before anyone served us. Limited drinks selection. The breakfast was awful, there was hardly anything to eat or drink. (We actually left and brought breakfast elsewhere.) Felt like this hotel needs more staff and more stock.

With the reception on the first floor it's a bit of a trek from the carpark. The corridor not very well signposted.

Great location for our visit to evening concert at The Atknson. Easy walk to shops etc in Southport centre and train station. If you plan to visit Southport pier its closed sadly. Breakfast was great. Room clean with fab bathroom. Front desk staff very helpful.

The venue was in a great location.

It was too expensive for bed and breakfast. Cost of car parking was an extra that was expensive.

Location good Good choice at breakfast

Signage needed in lifts to advise that reception is on level 1 On arrival we discovered that the restaurant was closing at 6.30pm. No advance notification not impressed especially as I had been sent an email offering a special price for an evening meal. Car park charge of £15. No advance notification. Receptionist unable to answer questions relating to the adjacent public car park. Only one receptionist resulting in queue for check in. Returned to hotel after an evening out to be told that the bar was closed and that no drinks were available. Again no advance notification and very disappointing as there was an ongoing private function in a side room. The music from this function could be heard in our room (3rd floor) until 12.55am. Breakfast had to be booked in advance. Only offered hourly slots. No-one checked the booking on arrival in the restaurant. The restaurant was almost empty. It looked as though we could have gone down at 9.30am rather than wait till 10.00 am which would have been more convenient with the 11.00 am checkout.

The pillows were perfect! Loved the foyer/ lounge area

We have stayed at this hotel , formerly called Bliss Hotel, several times and it never disappoints. A lovely, comfortable hotel with a very nice breakfast.
