Hotel Palmeira

Unser Zimmer im Hotel war einfach, hat aber alles, was man für ein paar Tage braucht. Das Hotel liegt sehr nah am Kanal, wo die Boote fahren und viele Restaurants liegen. Schöner Ausgangspunkt die Stadt zu erkunden. Das Frühstück ist einfach aber gut. Mit dem Bus ist der Weg nicht weit bis zum Strand am Atlantik.

Beachten, es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl und die Treppen in den beiden Etagen sind etwas steil.

Clean, inexpensive and central

Breakfast could be more varied. Very limited choice.

A great location for Aveiro, right near the quaint shopping and restaurant area and near the canals. On a quiet street with little traffic. Breakfast was decent and the breakfast room was a nice place to sit and write in the morning. TV worked well, shower had good pressure and temperature. Lack of a lift gave us an opportunity to work out carrying our bags upstairs.

The room was really, really small, even by European standards. The bed was jammed right up against the sliding bathroom door, which made for zero bathroom privacy. The hotel had obviously just done some plumbing work, because the first time we turned on the bathroom taps, the water ran thick and brown for a few minutes. Same thing the first few times we flushed the toilet. So we didn't trust the water for drinking, though it might have been fine. While it sounds like we had some complaints, the room was fine for the two nights we stayed. We're not Rockefellers, after all and the location overcomes a lot of objections.

Ideal location. Can’t be any closer to everything.

There is no air conditioner and fans are not available. It was hot to sleep in the evening, and insects came into the room when we left the windows open because there are no screens. The shower is so small that I could barely bend down to pick up the soap. The toilet seat was misaligned and wouldn’t stay up.
