The staff gets 10 out of 10. They were EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. The reception area, lobby, bar, lounge were sparkling clean and beautiful. The location was good. Spacious bathroom with a lovely shower! Towels and all their facilities were very clean. Worth our stay!

Our room was a little small and the safe broken. Could be fixed with a new lock and more luggage shelves could give more space in the room.

We were locked outside of the hotel when we arrived and spent a considerable time knocking and calling. The person at receiption was not to blame as he was helping someone out in the garage. However a reception should have been manned. To go up on the third floor one has to first use one lift and then use another lift. The lifts are rather old and the lift that goes up to the third does not close properly. This is a safety hazard especially is one is travelling with children. By this time we were exhausted and I went to have a shower. There was no soap in the shower and have to get out to use the soap next to the sink. After all that there was no top sheet on the bed and by this time I did not even bother to call reception but we slept on the top of the duvet.

Hotel very clean

Didnt have breakfast but what was on offer for the price looked poor.

Staying at this hotel caused us traumas.We had a 4 night pleasant stay and went down to breakfast on our last morning.We had just packed our bags and zipped them up and were at breakfast for about 20 minutes.We returned to the room collected our things and checked out.At the airport we went to check in but our passports were not in the bag. After inspecting our bags we found that my credit cards were not in my wallet having put the intact wallet In a pocket in the bag along with our passports and a leather bracelet just before breakfast.We then had to go to the police in the airport to report the theft.They filled in a crime report and phoned the hotel.After a few minutes the hotel announced that they had found our passports and the bracelet down the side of a chair in our room, but no credit cards.The hotel were too busy to courier them to the airport in time for our flight.We were able to get home to France with the aid of the crime report. I wrote to the hotel manager and related this episode and asked him to comment on his hotel security including the electronic door locks and the short period of our absence from the room prior to writing this review. He has not replied. Think before selecting this hotel after our experience.

We liked the location, cleanliness, value for money. The staff was extremely helpful, they connected us to great travel agency for Douro river visit, they kept our luggage for over a week while we were travelling to Santiago, helped with other small details. Bathroom is great, clean, spacious, well equipped. Also the room, TV programmes, quiet neighbourhood. Hotel is also located close enough to the cathedral, Ponte Luis bridge and also the promenade and old city centre, obviously.

If I need to pick something then maybe the breakfast room is a bit small and beds are a bit hard, but nothing serious.

Conditioner was not enough to make the room & bath warm in February

Recently renovated hotel (both common areas and our room and bathroom were pretty new). Breakfast was great, with highlight for the homemade cakes which were prepared every day and made available at the reception also during the afternoon. Hotel staff were very thoughtful and kind. Good location, just in front of a supermarket, close to another bigger supermarket and to a metro station (3 or 4 blocks away).

We were in 3 adults in a room and the space was too tight for 3. The room would be perfectly suitable for 2 persons. The hotel has its paid parking lot, but since we didn't reserve it in advance there were no place left, so we had to park our car in an external parking lot, which was 3 long blocks away from the hotel (not that this bothered me, as we left our car at the parking lot during our entire stay and moved within Porto on foot, by metro and Uber).

Friendly staff, no problems with business invoice

Very clean throughout, lovely white sheets and towels. Good size bedroom and en-suite. There are lifts to the two towers. Halls etc had motion lights. Breakfast was extensive, eggs, cold platter, fruit, all cereals, yoghurt, bread, pastries etc. Alway well stocked no matter what time you arrived. Free black coffee and cake in foyer. Helpful and informed staff, with a range of languages. Store room for cases, bar although I didn’t use or see anyone do so, small area with Sofas and TV. Small corner shop across the road with a Continental, fast food and Metro 10 minutes walk away

Building work going on behind it, started 07.30. Hotel is surrounded by other buildings being renovated. Has no garden or vista.

Location, clean, comfortable.

Toiletries minimal.
