Hotel Oskar Zaplata

Muy limpio. Hotel con bar y restaurante en el que se cena muy bien. Buen desayuno. Habitaciones cómodas con todo lo necesario.

No hay ascensor y hay que subir las maletas a mano. Para gente puede ser un problema.

Nice rooms, parking lot, good food and friendly owner.

A bit out of the town.

Parking being available and having a restaurant right there.

The fact our room was on the third floor and we are very sure the hotel was not full, we are both in our 70’s and no elevator in the building.

Good location if you're here for hiking and sightseeing in the mountains. Basically it in the middle of nowhere but with good connection to the highway and a short drive away from Ljubljana or Bled. Large free parking, decent restaurant with very reasonable prices. Good bar with fair prices. Rooms are very dated but clean, same for bathroom. The room was fitted with new, efficient, and quiet A/C.

Breakfast was hit and miss. We stayed 4 nights. Breakfast 1 was good, everything was fresh and tasty - probably because there was a large group in the hotel. Breakfast 2 was similar, but there was some stale bread in the bread basket mixed with fresh bread. Sweet pastries were fresh and delicious, though. Breakfast 3 was bad. Stale bread (3+ days old, You could not eat it without tosting the bread). Dried out cheese and ham. No sweet pastries. Breakfast 4 was the same as breakfast 3 but with the addition of stale sweet pastries. Why serve old baked goods? Honestly, fresh bread or baguette is not expensive, yet they decide to serve bread that can really be only fed to a bird. Rooms - tho clean, need a refurbish. Seem like you're stepping back in time to the 90s. Strange considering the villeroy boch cutlery at dinner (breakfast cuttlery and plates seem to be mismatched from old sets, though :😜)
