The Kowloon Hotel

We travelled from Australia home to the UK with a stop off in Hong Kong to break up the flight and honestly didn't have high expectations as it was just meant to be somewhere to sleep. The Kowloon Hotel staff were exceptional, letting us check in 4 hours early which was massively appreciated after an overnight flight with not much sleep! They also sent us a cake to our room as we were on our honeymoon which was a lovely touch. Our room had a great view of the harbour and the nightly light show, plus the hotel is directly above a metro station which made transport easy, however it was also very central and within walking distance to a lot of shops etc. when we didn't want to use the Metro. Room was air conditioned and clean and provided extra bedding if needed.

Breakfast was top notch. All the staff were great. The man greeting taxis outside was especially helpful because I was lost when I arrived.

I didn't find a card with basic information I could read as soon as I reached my room. Things like: Check out time, breakfast times, other meals available, cloakroom ok or not, and so on. Chasing information online becomes tedious.

Location is very good...the room was small but it was clean

800hkd for on night and no water to drink in the room.... this has to be a joke
