Hotel Adele am Alex

Es war ein sauberes, gut gelegenes Zimmer mit einem sehr guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis am Prenzlauer Berg. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Frühstück war keines im Angebot- haben wir aber auch nicht erwartet.

Es waren sehr heiße Tage, deshalb mussten wir das Fenster öffnen, welches direkt zur Straße zeigte- so konnte man nicht schlafen- das war viel zu laut. Aber wir hatten auch meines Wissens nicht extra um ein ruhiges Zimmer gebeten.

Timing of the check-in and check-out is a little bit too much, I'm not sure if this is common in Berlin, but being unable to check in before 15 STRICTLY (I guess it's mostly because of the automatic check-in, where the system just doesn't allow you to get the key before 15:00) is not very pleasant. The room obviously was ready, when I arrived at 14:45. It would be better if the system would allow you to get the key within at least 30 minutes around your check-in time OR arrange a place for guests to wait. Staying on the street for 15-20 mins on windy or rainy day could ruin your day.

The location is very nice, walking distance from many bars and restaurants and from the metro and bus stops. The room was very silent, with a comfy big bed, providing excellent sleep at night. It was very clean everywhere. There is a small kitchenette, so in case you stay longer it could come handy. The checkin process is smooth and clear.

I was in apartment 15, with 3 double beds in 2 rooms. The pictures are not very clear. The apartment is much bigger than in pictures, and more beautiful, but there are no walls between the rooms. Depending who you are travelling with this could be an issue or not.

The hôtel is well located, the bed are comfortable.

My orginal room didn't look anything like the pictures and the bathroom was in a poor state. I called one of the staff that offered to move me to a better apartment but this was only possible the second day. There was a little mix up to get the keys but the staff was very helpful.
