The Sonneck is a gorgeous typical German Gasthof nestled at the top of the village. Fantastic views over the village to the mountains and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

This hotel was so charming, the staff the food the location it was amazing. If you want a true Bavarian Alps experience this is it and it's only 5 minutes walk from the centre of the village. I felt like I was in Heidi the movie! It was so quintessentially Bavarian, right down to the brass band and goats! I'll definitely be back!

Comfortable stay

It wasn't communicated at all but we needed a negative covid test in order to book in. Turned away and all pharmacy's in town closed. Had to go 10 miles away for test while our wedding reception was going on. Lots of faff which could have been prevented if we were simply told, 'turn up with a negative covid test'

In order I would like to mention here : - Alpenhotel Sonneck - the propreties excellent; - team from hotel 100% - best ever; - the restaurant perfect with good food, drinks, facilities, .....

The vacation was too short :)

The breakfast was good, just very dissapointing with the staff when they confirmed us stay include breakfast with dinner. So we had dinner on the second night after the staff told us about bills, but as we confirmed with front desk its free. We ended up paid everything just very dissapointed with the hidden talks behind. I'm sure every customer doesnt mind pay EXTRA if they feel trustworthy and comfort.
