Great location, room was different being that it’s a cave
The bed mattress wasn’t very comfortable.
The sound proofing wasn’t great - we could hear people talking outside the window.

The location was perfect, the staff are great, and it offers very good value for money. I really liked it and will definitely be back 😍

The host was kind and helpful, and the property has a good location, a beautiful view and a small pool.
Unfortunately, our experience with the Family Cave Room was rather disappointing. The room is advertised as 45 m², but in reality it felt like no more than around 30 m². It was extremely small and cramped for a family of five (2 adults and 3 children). There was barely enough space to put our clothes away properly.
The ceiling height was around 1.80 m, meaning that I could not stand upright in the room (I am 1.87 m tall). The photos on Booking.com also give the impression that the room is considerably larger than it actually is. They appear to have been taken with a wide-angle lens, and several photos seem to have been taken from a very low angle, making the room and ceiling appear more spacious.
Unfortunately, the mattresses were also significantly worn and sagging, so sleeping on them was not particularly comfortable or restful.
However, the biggest issue for us was the strong smell coming from the drains and sewage system. We tried to ventilate the room, but because of the very limited air volume, it was difficult to get enough fresh air inside. We understand that these are “cave rooms” and that the traditional construction may involve certain compromises with drainage and ventilation, but we believe there should be ways to address this issue.
There were also several signs of insufficient maintenance. Only some of the many light switches worked, and none of the decorative recessed floor LEDs were functioning. In such a small and rather dark room, especially with only a tiny window providing natural light, these lights would have been quite useful.
Overall, unfortunately, we would not book this particular room again. It is possible that the high rating on Booking.com mainly reflects the experience of guests staying in some of the other, better-maintained rooms.
