Norfolk Royale Hotel

Lovely hotel. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Food.was excellent every day. Great entertainment and fun evenings with bingo too. Would recommend this hotel highly. Great location , close to town, and beach and pier.

There was nothing we didn't like

Nice big room, pool area very nice, and communal areas and gardens were lovely. Easy walking to Bournemouth and sea front. Reception staff were absolutely amazing. The breakfast staff on the Saturday were very pleasant and helpful, as were the waitress staff for breakfast on the other days. Very nicely cooked breakfast and good choice. Nice touch that the room had the windows open and a fan going when we arrived - most welcome on the hottest day of the year!

Breakfast on the first two days was unwelcoming and awkward. The waitresses were lovely, but the "Manager" initially told us we had to come back in 1 hour because they were far too busy, but then backtracked when we questioned this. He then said "We don't usually do this, but we will squeeze you in", terrible attitude as we had pre-booked and pre-paid breakfast and were told by reception that we could go anytime between 8.00am and 9.30am. The second morning was no better and we felt very unwelcome by the "Manager". On the third morning we were delighted to be in a different room and seated and welcomed by a different person, who was lovely. Rooms are a little tired and could do with a refresh. A few cobwebs, but overall was clean. No plug sockets near the bed. TV reception was a bit hit and miss.
