A delightful place and good value for money. Being slightly outside Durham city means you would need a car. Good breakfast. Possibly not great for those with mobility problems as quite a few stairs and steps. No lift as far as I could see.

Food was excellent and well priced. the room was comfortable and the staff were very helpful. especially the young man who carried both our cases up to room 214. We Visited Durham and Beamish and the hotel was an ideal place to stay.
It was a long way and up a lot of stairs to get to our room. We are both in our 70s and we would have struggled with our luggage without the much appreciated help, mentioned above. We didn't mind the small room but the provision of a small chair would be good. (I know the room is small and might not be possible). We have an electric car and an onsite charger would be very useful. Something we would like to see if we stayed with you again. We visit Scotland regularly and a break in the N/E on our way home is something we like to do.

Great location, lovely staff.
Room on the second floor was smaller than expected & felt cramped.

"Freundlicher Empfang, ruhige Lage im Park, 15min. Bis ins (sehr preisgünstig) nächste Parkhaus in der City. Frühstück und Service top. Preis Leistung bestens."
