The Victoria Hotel, Bradford by Sunday

Location next to the interchange

Tired in need of some restoration

We booked last minute, and although the room was a bit old-fashioned, it was clean and comfortable. The bed was really comfy, and the pillows were especially good. The bathroom had been refurbished and was modern. There was also coffee and tea in the room. Great location overall.

The staff didn’t seem to care much, even though one of them saw that we were waiting at reception. She was having a meeting with a co-worker, and it seemed more important than attending to us. Only a Polish lady who had just started working there approached us and asked if she could help. Unfortunately, she couldn’t really help, probably because she hadn’t been trained yet. Still, it was a nice touch that she noticed us and made the effort to ask. Overall, the staff could have been a bit more attentive, but the Polish lady’s effort was appreciated.

Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean

Disappointed they now charge you to use their car park. This is a game changer for us now. We have always stayed at the Victoria but with another exceptional hotel so close by I will now be staying there. Sadly they have lost a loyal customer x

Location from train station was good but difficult to find entrance as most of doors were locked

The mattress was so firm it has given me a bad back and sent my back into spasm. I went down to the bar at 7 for a drink and light bite where there was nobody to be found.
