Greeted at reception by a lovely member if staff. He was polite, friendly and helpful. Staff in restaurant were the same. Food good. Lovely quiet rooms. All nice and clean

I was really surprised by the quality of this hotel considering its position at a service station. I have to admit I wasn’t expecting much but I couldn’t have been more wrong! It was an excellent choice with superb friendly staff who made us very welcome. There was a really varied menu with good value deals. The food was plentiful and tasty! Superb value for money.
Its position is ideal for us - breaking our journey on the way up to Scotland. We would have no hesitation recommending this and will be staying again.
Staff were very helpful in finding my lost property too! Thank you!
Everything was beyond our expectations- really excellent. If I could change just one thing it would be the coffee from the machine at breakfast which wasn’t great but i do like good coffee so I’m a bit picky!

The carpets on the staircase and landing clearly hadn't been vacuumed in a good while
