We stayed before in a sea front room - this time booked last minute so didn't get the view, but that was to be expected. It was comfortable, a lovely location, and lovely welcoming smile from the front desk. The breakfast is fabulous. A great place to stay while dropping our daughter at Bangor university and we will be back. It's our go-to.
I do think it's a bit strange that you can't get a decent coffee at breakfast and have to wait until the coffee bar is open which isn't until way after breakfast! But no serious complaints at all.

Lovely old building with lots of interesting things to look at inside and wonderful views.
We had a cozy double which was quite spacious with a good size bathroom and a proper bath.
The stall were all really friendly and whoever was chef was turning out really good food which was very nicely presented.
A wee bit chaotic at breakfast and got a bit congested… could think about the buffet layout a bit perhaps

Location is excellent,
Couldn’t dine when we wanted to because of 2 separate “large groups “ (25 people) so service was second rate and slow. Even though a table for 4 was booked both mornings,the memo never reached the dining room either day and breakfast was completely spoiled, having to carry, cereal bowls with milk, fruit bowls, juices,pastries,toast, butter, jams etc, all through the hotel to an annex room where the staff neglected us.
