No food available no atmosphere fire door one room down corridor open all the time... Lacked any sort of care or ownership. Simply don't serve food on Sundays better to know before you arrive not even a sandwich

very convenient with excellent parking, food , both dinner and breakfast were excellent and good value for money. Always accommodating regarding providing a ground floor room. The staff are all very pleasant and friendly.

We were on top floor and there were no lifts so it was difficult to carry luggage three flights especially with arthritis.

The location was fair. Ans the staff were friendly

The room was old. The bed was not comfortable at all, we had very little sleep. The bath was pathetic, humming from the kitchen all night. The food was awful. My hubby had burger. The bun was rock hard and the burgers were way too dry. The breakfast wasn't much better. The mushrooms were gritty, eggs were watery, and none of it had any flavour. Wouldn't stay there again

The restaurant was fabulous. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The room was a little dark and the the water wasn't very hot. However it was clean and comfortable.

Staff were excellent. Breakfast was terrific. Great car parking.

Heater provided had a very short electrical lead that could not read the available 13-amp socket. No tumblers provided. Strip light in bathroom did not work. We were only there one night, and these unusual events were lived with. Bar staff need to be advised that brandy is not served in a whiskey glass.

Looks nice from a distance - nice setting.

Cost was low compared to others in the area and this is reflected in the accommodation. Squeaky floorboards, no lock on door, dated furniture/ decor and first floor windows with unrestricted opening (not great with young kids).

I chose it as it said 'tranquil'. I stayed on a Saturday night. The bar was extremely busy and the garden full of drunk people so I did not feel particularly safe on the ground floor, but this quietened by midnight. Then there was music and chatter in the room next door to me that made it impossible to sleep. By 2.30am I asked if they could be quieter and they turned off the music but the chatter still went on right through the whole night so I only managed to sleep from 4.30-7am when I needed to leave. Not the hotel's fault and perhaps one expects to hear other people, but it would be very helpful if there was more insulation in the walls.

One night flying stop over. Very pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and bathroom (41) very comfortable and tea, coffee and biscuits is a lovely touch. Staff were very friendly.

Light bulb had blown in main ceiling light but not a major issue.

I actually didn’t stay. The hotel and the room were far below my expectations. It was tired and not very clean. I left and went to another hotel ten minutes away for the same price which was very superior in cleanliness and decor.
