Hotel Delfino Taranto

generally well run business and professional biased hotel. only tourists we saw were older couples (in cars) and one coach trip stop off ANNALAURA on reception saved the day here moving us to an upgrade room, but only after other management had refused the same and we had packed to leave. Choice of breakfast hot and cold pool

Customer service was initially terrible and tarnished our entire stay. We were allocated a "basic " room which meant the service standard reflected this . Not acceptable. We weren't aware rooms were graded and guest experience was matched to how much you paid to be guests. Staff attitude to problems with "central aircon" Hotel has a central system which has an ambient temperature of 24.5C so 2-3 degrees hotter than outside. Management refused to change the temperature so made sleeping impossible and we packed to leave after 1 night rather than the 4 we booked for. The duty management suggested if the room was too hot we should sleep with the door to the lobby and external windows open. They became aggressive in attitude when we recorded the conversation (openly) to recover the cost of the booking Only 1 barista to provide morning hot drinks for ALL guests. No machines. Took 20 mins to get our first coffee

Unbedingt die Suite buchen. Ein fantastisches gorsses Zimmer mit herrlichem Ausblick direkt am Meer. Frühstück alles frisch alles gut.

Der Pool sieht stark vernachlässigt aus. Fliesen slles schmutzig und kunstrasen alles ohne pflege. Nur das Wasser wurde gut gepflegt. Strand vor der Türe aber nicht möglich zu benützen. Alles kaputte Betonplatten. Sehr weit vom Zentrum entfernt. Auch das Zentrum war entäuschend. Meine Empfehlung das schöne Hotel buchen und von da aus mit dem Auto Ausflüge in schöne Städte machen.

The room and it's facilities were fantastic. The reception, bar and restaurant were also excellent.

The pool loungers may need an upgrade but that is a minor comment.
