Minoa Palace Resort

We had a wonderful week at Minoa Palace Resort. Even though the weather was not as friendly as we had hoped, the amazing staff made sure that our family had a truly enjoyable and memorable stay. From breakfast in the morning until dinner in the evening, everyone at the restaurants and bars was incredibly friendly, welcoming and always smiling. What impressed us most was that their kindness felt genuine — they were sincerely happy to help us with anything we needed. When the weather was not suitable for the beach, the staff even took the time to do some research for us and prepare a plan with suggestions of things we could do and places we could visit around Chania as a family. This level of care and attention really made a difference to our holiday. We would especially like to mention Katerina from Guest Relations. She is such a warm, cheerful and friendly person, and at the same time extremely professional. She helped us throughout our entire stay, always with a smile, and made us feel genuinely looked after from beginning to end. Thank you, Katerina! We can wholeheartedly recommend Minoa Palace Resort, not only for its beautiful facilities, but especially for the wonderful people who work there. The kindness and hospitality of the entire team are what made our stay truly special. We will definitely come back!

Wir gehen normalerweise nicht in Hotels dieser Art, sondern reisen eher individuell. Das Hotel hat uns sehr, sehr gefallen. Es ist alles da: eine sehr schöne Anlage, direkter Zugang zum Strand über eine Passerelle, gute Restaurants. Wir hatten nur Frühstück dazu gebucht, haben aber einige Male im Hotel in den verschiedenen Restaurants gegessen. Besonders das italienische Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen. Frühstück war toll, es gibt sehr viele verschiedene Speisen von guter Qualität. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und stets bemüht, zu unterstützen.

Einzig das Zimmer hat etwas enttäuscht, es gab keinen Tisch oä und als ich am Anreisetag Zimmerservice bestellt hatte, musste ich deswegen auf dem Bett essen. Möglichkeiten zum Trocknen, Aufhängen fehlen. Bügeleisen auf Nachfrage erhältlich, aber das Bügelbrett eigentlich nicht brauchbar.

We are writing to share our feedback regarding our recent 3-night stay at your hotel, as we believe in providing honest and balanced reviews to help highlight both the wonderful aspects of the property and areas that require attention. ​There were certainly positive elements during our stay. We genuinely appreciated the warmth of the staff and their welcoming smiles, as well as the lovely gifts we received, which added a very thoughtful and pleasant touch to our time here. ​However, we were quite disappointed to find that our room standard fell significantly short of what is expected—and advertised—for a 5-star hotel. When we arrived, staff mentioned that we had actually been upgraded to a "better" room; if that is the case, it is difficult to imagine the condition of the standard category. ​Specifically, we encountered the following issues: ​Room Condition: The accommodation was heavily dated, worn, and in urgent need of comprehensive refurbishment, bearing little resemblance to standard 5-star luxury. ​Sound Insulation: The acoustic insulation was extremely poor. We were able to hear our neighbours' normal, quiet conversations word for word, which severely impacted our privacy and rest. ​Coffee Amenities: The coffee capsules were not replenished during our stay, and we were charged €2 per capsule. In a 5-star establishment, complimentary coffee amenities should at the very least be refreshed daily. ​Overall Value: Due to these factors, the experience did not match the price-to-quality ratio expected from a 5-star establishment, making our three nights feel exceptionally long rather than relaxing. ​we hope this constructive feedback is taken in the spirit it is intended, and that management takes steps to update and improve these rooms and services for future guests.
