Leviathan Hotel

The standard room (133) on the corner was massive. .Large windows. I love the old style of this heritage building. The free carpark was very handy. Had to rearrange the couches to make it feel more like a lounge than a waiting room, but left it as we found it. The reception was staffed 24/7.

The large room felt a little sparse. Only one power point in the kitchenette. Have to unplug appliance to use another.

I like the location, the historic features around the hotel and the comfort of the room. Parking was great just across the road. Staff were lovely. Loved the old lift up and down. The view was good too. The location is walkable to the Octagon and the main street.

With a few touches this place could be great! The room needed a tidy up with paint in a few places. the TV was stuck to the wall on an angle that could not be seen from the beds. The shower was a trickle when hot enough. The phone was filthy, just get rid of them, people can ring reception with their smart phones. Wasn't that keen on writing my credit card number down on a piece of paper. Surely the card made with the booking.com booking is enough. I hope the details are securely got rid off.

Breakfast good value and suitable hours The location of hotel suited us well

We were unable to have meals on site over the time we stayed. However we found within waling distance a range of restaurants etc

Good location. Parking across the road. Good price

Moderately clean, very cold - only a small noisy fan heater in the room, very thin duvet on the bed, very musty smelling bedspread, only one side of electric blanket worked on double bed, wooden door to fridge was broken, hinge falling off, light switch in bathroom loose, was rudely rushed out of my room by housekeepers at 9.58am - I was about to leave but thought they were quite rude.
