Large rooms, great breakfast, the pool area (we did not use) is enclosed on top level.

the location was not what we expected, but fine for a night or two before going elsewhere. Taxi and Uber easily arranged from there.

For a large hotel, the Mercure Alameda was very friendly. The staff were extremely helpful and professional. We had a small suite which was quiet and spacious. Perfect for the last day of our travels. The breakfast choice was extensive and the food was. We enjoyed using the rooftop spa.

You need a taxi to get to the old town.

The roof top spa/sauna area is an excellent place to unwind. Delicious breakfast buffet including omelette station and spacious rooms. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Water bottle refilling stations are plentiful.
