It's not that I liked anything at the resort. Me and my partner - we LOVED it! Phenomenal, cozy and welcoming interior design that doesn't pretend to be more than it is, just does everything it's supposed to do perfectly! Incredibly welcoming, hospitable staff (Jean Christophe! I'm still daydreaming about the feast you served! Dominique! Thank you for the great dinner! All other people I just don't remember the names of. THANK YOU!). Hospitality on the highest possible level where the staff seems to have been reading our minds and offering a hand before we even got the chance to ask. All of it amounted to a HEAVENLY stay. And yes - the caps are fully intentional as I won't be able to keep this review concise if I go into the details of how amazing our stay was. Again. Huge thank you and we do hope to see you some time soon.
I honestly can't name a thing. Even little hiccups that were just normal were dealt with swiftly with lot of smiles attached.

That touch of luxury! The grounds, communal areas and our room were all perfect. It was also nice to have the adults only area. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Having to leave! We booked B&B and arrived late so the only option was the buffet. It was amazing but so was the price! The second night we went out but were able to book in the cheaper restuarants for the rest of our stay.

Plages sympas, piscines très bien, restaurants très bien surtout le Bodrum, personnel très efficace en service de restauration.. Chambre et salle de bain spacieuses et dressing très grand (suffisant pour évoluer autour des 3 valises!!!)
Service de linge de toilette qui n est pas passé deux fois proposer le remplacement des serviettes… (or la salle de bain n est pas aérée et il faut sortir le linge sur la terrasse pour qu il sèche… sinon odeur de linge humide)
Valises laissées sous la pluie à l arrivée pendant 2 heures et attente de 2 heures pour avoir la chambre alors que nous sommes arrivés avec 24h de retard (merci AF!!!) et que la chambre était payée (donc en principe prête) depuis la veille.

The staff- absolutely wonderful People. The friendliness and commitment to hospitality is unmatched. All were willing to assist at any given point in time. A special thanks to Yasser, Jean-Christophe, Reedo, Emily (at the children’s club), Romel, Sanjana and Yosra.
The food - the best! The quality, the taste, the effort that goes into producing such divine food. A noteworthy experience was our night at the world class Peruvian restaurant, Inti. We were treated like royalty by Yaseer and the rest of the staff. Extraordinary service and food! Thank you!
The design - captures you from the moment you walk into the picturesque, triple volume foyer. The furnishings in and around the hotel and restaurants are simply splendid design! Wish I could’ve bottled the scented oil in the common areas and taken it home with me.
The facilities - well maintained, clean and functional. We enjoyed the family pool (including the exercise day) and the beach area (albeit space was a bit of an issue but I imagine this is common in a busy period like December).
The bathrooms in our room on the other hand need MUCH attention:
- The kalking by the sink areas need to be renewed;
- The mildew in the shower needs to be addressed
- The general cleanliness is questionable, particularly in the lavatory area.

I’ve been visiting Lux for a few years now and have enjoyed collecting their bags. This year I visited both Grand Baie and Grand Gaube. Gaube seemed to offer the bags for other visitors but not for some. I was all inclusive as well. The in-room incentives have been cut down even though the cost has increased.
The wishing tree has also changed. This was saddening.

The resrort itself is beautiful, but the staff need to change their attitude towards guest.
Some staff came across very rude.
The following departments:
1)Bar staff
2)Restaurant staff, especially during breakfast.
We stayed in a Junior Suite, in my opinion it cannot be considered a junior suite, small and not what we expected. Not much privacy, every foot step in the room above us can be heard.
We also were very upset as we had a DND sign up but they proceeded to enter our room with our valubales laying around and it was reported but no feedback and follow up by the night shift manager.
We also visited the sister resort Lux Belle Mare, and the service there was exceptional. The staff were very polite. We will definitely be booking at lux Belle Mare on our next trip. They open your door for you and assist with parcels, the same cannot be said for lux grand gaube.
Lux Grand Gaube staff are very rude, dismissive and you feel lile you're annoying them when talking to them.
We did not get to do much of the inclusive water activities and the gentleman at the centre was not very helpful.
I highly doubt I will book at Lux grand Gaube again.
Not what you expect for 1300 Euros a night.

Effectivement l hôtel porte bien son nom, le lux est au rendez-vous.
Accueil super, chambre spacieuses 51m2 avec vue très appréciable.
Même si l hôtel accueil beaucoup de clients les espaces permettent d être pas trop avec la foule ce qui est un grand plus. Parfois nous etions seule dans la piscine.... L espace piscine sans enfant est une bonne idée. Nous avons pu faire pleins de jolies photos de notre lune de miel beaucoup de spots sympas. Les photos booking sont fidèles à la réalité.
Les suggestions de restaurants sont nombreux.
Je vous conseille de prendre la formule demi pension. L hôtel est bien placé pour découvrir le haut de L île. Le personnel est super également. J ai était agréablement surprise de pouvoir faire des activités gratuites (paddle, pedalo...) et vous pouvez aussi avoir des cours yoga, aquagym etc
Top top rien à redire, c était dure de repartir.
Les plages sont jolies les vues superbes mais vaseuses prévoir chaussure spéciale pour aller dans l eau. Et pas de snorkling possible à l hôtel. Pour se baigner aller à l extérieur cap malheureux par exemple

Loved everything about the property. The size of the rooms, the food options and quality, the pool, the activities, the bar, the entertainment during dinner.
N/A. But a suggestion for the hotel is this - 7pm for dinner is late for young kids. I suggest considering an earlier start, even if it’s just a sitting for families with young children, from 6pm.

We had the best view of the property. Really enjoyed the views.
Majority of the Staff were really welcoming and nice. One of the staff waiters at the Buffet restaurant could honestly do with Hospitality training. He saw us and literally ignored us until was called by a fellow waiter and still chose not to attend us. So we ushered in by a different person who was nice towards us.
The LUX app doesn’t work. The rooms could do with thorough cleaning after guests check outs.

The facilities
I recently visited your resort and unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. I was disappointed with the level of professionalism displayed by some of the staff members, particularly in regards to a billing issue. I had already paid for a certain service, but was asked to pay again upon checkout. This was frustrating and left a negative impression on my overall experience.
I believe that clear communication and attention to detail are critical components of good customer service, and I did not feel that these were consistently demonstrated during my stay. I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and take steps to ensure that other guests do not encounter similar issues in the future.

The food was amazing. The buffet and different restaurants were all amazing. Special thanks to Executive Chef David Miras for leading the team and the pianist at breakfast for the great ambiance.
If you do take HalfBoat, I still recommend going to the INTI that is not included. That was the most amazing food of my live. Special thanks to the amazing music provided by Freddy (amazing guitarist and singer).
Animation was also plenty and great fun. Special thanks to Kevin for the great workout, Prithvi and Yvette for their guidance, company and party fun.
Final thanks to Bundhoo of housekeeping, for making our room and loved the animals he made with the towels.

When you book via Booking you cannot login directly yourself, go to reception to do it.
The LUX app actually reserves the activity when you save it under "My Events". The IT should change this, to reserving. For the user it makes it more clear and the workers will have a better understanding of how many participants are coming to the activities.

the beach is not as lovely as some areas of Mauritius but it is a lagoon with no waves at all great for little children

By 20:00 every evening, EVERYTHING goes silence. even the bar area music is reduced. unlike other neighboring family resorts, music continues until 23:00.

The location, set on mini peninsulas with a selection of small beach areas, was unique.
The restaurant options were very disappointing. Loosely themed, limited menus with the same options in most restaurants and food quality not great especially in comparison to the main hotel buffet. The all inclusive package option was different to previous experiences we had and somewhat more complicated.

The staff were kind and the room was always well cleaned and looked after. We enjoyed the selection of restaurants. The coffee as always was excellent except "no free cake"!
After our previous stay in 2018 we noticed the resort looked a little tired - upholstery needed an upgrade or a clean. The food selection was not as good as previous visit. A ground floor room is great except when you have noise from the upstairs guests! Getting the wine of choice was always a challenge and the All Inclusive drinks menu seemed to be "hard to get". The lighting at Beach Rouge in the evening makes the food all look "one colour" - maybe a little attention to this detail would be good.
