Marina Hotel

Great location friendly staff

Rooms were great and had everything we needed. View over the marina was really nice. Had dinner, breakfast and drinks at the hotel and all were fantastic. The lady in the bar made a wonderful cocktail. The location for us was good too, was nice to walk around the marina.

Beds were a bit too soft for my liking, but still comfortable. The parking wasn't too great. One day/night we had to park away from our room as there wasn't any available parks near our apartment. But that's only something minor.

The room was comfortable; access was through an entrance that required your room keycard before getting to your room that also required a keycard, so you felt quite secure and safe. The meals - we had breakfast and dinner - was excellent, very tasty and fresh. Best to book on Friday and Saturday.

The room is in need of maintenance - there is mortar falling out of the tiles around the spa, the spout tiles were cracked, the door jamb in the shower wasn't cleaned. The paint was peeling above the sliding door. I waited 45 minutes for the spa to fill to the jets. I would hate to think how long it would take to fill the spa.

I liked that it was a self contained suite

The location was a little further from Port Lincoln’s main street than we had expected. Unfortunately, we also had a very uncomfortable experience one morning when housekeeping barged into our room without knocking, despite having a “Do Not Disturb” sign clearly displayed on the door. We raised the matter with reception, as we felt staff should be checking how long guests are occupying the room with reception, particularly when a “Do Not Disturb” sign is displayed. Having someone unexpectedly enter our room left us feeling quite shocked and violated, and unfortunately impacted our overall experience.
