The Village Inn

Room was clean tidy and every thing you need for a short stay. Wifi worked excellantly. Very quiet. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was excellant.

Bed was a little squeaky.

This wasn't a planned stop on our trip, we booked it at the last minute and it was just perfect. Dinner was steak night - fantastic! Great value and excellent food. Full English Breakfast in the morning inclusive in the price was 10/10! Off road free parking was also exceptionally good.

Restaurant and Bar staff excellent. Friendly and efficient. Food very good and sensibly priced. Location good for visiting Northallerton Thirsk,Richmond and Ripon.

Maintenance and Housekeeping standards in the bedroom let this property down. Bathroom fittings (ie toilet roll holder and ring towel holder loose and needed replacing) Main light flickered on and off regularly and was irritating. Mould and mildew present around wash hand basin and parts of the bath. I recommend using Dettol Mould and Mildew remover . One spray from this product and the blackness disappears. One bedside lamp had no bulb in it upon arrival but this was quickly rectified once I bought it to the attention of the staff. Bed was too soft for our liking. We would have preferred a firmer mattress to provide more support.
