The place is nice and clean. The stuff was welcoming and friendly, always willing to assist.

Breakfast was bad. Two food items tasted like they were expired. Dinner was also not so good. The food was not hotel / restaurant standard. It was more of home cooked meals

they didnt make up the room, same dirt sheets, horrible comforter, no big towels, didnt add soap,shower cap , coffee...was so bad

The lodge is situated in a fairly good and safe area of richards Bay.

- Upon arrival, No porters were available to assist with luggage to rooms. - Readiness and cleanliness of the room was very poor. We checked in at 4pm ( 2 hours after the standard check in time- thus giving the lodge plenty of time to ensure the room was ready for guests). - Dirty linen noted. 1 large bath towel was provided for 2 guests. 1 small hand soap provided for the use of washing hands at the basin and for bathing between 2 guests. No Shampoo, shower gel or body Lotion provided. - Unable to call reception as the number stated on the telephone was incorrect. It was stated as dial 9 whereas the number is actually 100. We as guests had to walk down ourselves to inform the staff of the condition of the room and the reason for difficulty in contacting them. - When the receptionist was informed of the above, he told me he will inform housekeeping and was unable to give me an ETA as to when issues will be resolved. After an argument, he came up to the room to inspect for himself. He then took pictures of the problems we had and assigned us to the new room. - We had to carry our own luggage and the remainder of towels and soaps to the new room. - we were contacted by reception to ask whether we had taken the remainder of the towels. - there was no shower mat or hand towels provided leaving bathroom very slippery after use. - New room had a balcony which was dirty and full of algae & mold. - No hair dryer was available and I had to go down once again to reception to ask for one afterwhich I was told that there is only 1 available for all the guests. This arrived after an hour. A small Hairdryer that had insulation tape and cord joining to it. - Only 1.5 rolls of toilet paper was given to us. - very unprofessional and we are highly dissatisfied with our stay. Will not recommend this accommodation after this experience.

The beds are not comfortable we had no water to bath in the morning the whole hotel smells very bad the beding that is suppose to be be white is cream the food was so so bad
