The owner is very nice. Location is ok, just walking distance to Yu moving road to go to the snow resort.

Be prepared to take your luggage on the stairs since there is no lift. Room with private toilet is not the modern toilet.

The location is unbeatable. Right near the heart of downtown, it makes going out for drinks or dinner after a long day on the slopes super easy. Additionally, there is one (of the many the town is famous for) public onsen literally a two minute walk away. Accessing the ski slopes requires a bit more of a walk, but still very accessible. The Japanese-style rooms are comfy and stay warm well in the cold. Staff was very helpful and kind.

Spacious room. The futon were comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and the location is great. Friendly staff. They had baskets and soap and shampoo you can borrow when you go to the public onsen.

This traditional B&B was located close to restaurants, shops, onsens etc which was convenient and quiet. Extremely clean and, while modest, offered basic amenities. Appreciated the drying room for ski ear ( though it was switched off on arrival), generous Japanese breakfast, hot water, tea, cups and vending machine for drinks. Loved the fluffy doona, block out curtains and small onsen.

Like most rooms, mine overlooked a stream which was incredibly loud day and night. It took a bit of getting used to. The Tanami mat was a bit hard so I pulled out 3 others from the cupboard and piled them up on top of one another which did the trick While not a fan of shared facilities, there was no one else near my room so I had the toilet ( which was right opposite my room) and onsen to myself. It would have been helpful to offer a guest booklet in English and to translate the instructions for the in room heater. While right near the centre of town, it involves a 10 min bus ride to the snow. It was unfortunate that no one could collect me from the bus terminal as I had my skis, large suitcase and back pack. If 2 other travellers hadn't helped me, I'm not sure how I would have made it as there were no taxis in sight and while only a 5 to 10 Min walk, it's difficult with luggage.
