Beautiful resort with lovely gardens and next to a golf course. Reception and main areas are beautiful

Our room was located down a dark and dingy hallway.

The property is beautiful it looking a bit tired. I loved the sitting areas with the open fires and the gardens were beautiful . The restaurant was very good. The food excellent

I rooms are small and not arranged very well that you can sit in comfortable.

A beautiful historic property with plenty of character, but unfortunately it is looking tired and needs some attention. The staff member from Texas who looked after us by the fire and at breakfast was exceptional — friendly, warm and genuinely accommodating as was the older gentleman and broader team looking after us at dinner. Sadly, this level of service wasn’t consistent. As an Accor hotel, we were also never asked if we were Accor members or advised of any membership benefits. There were several maintenance and housekeeping issues. Our room had a leaking tap, which we reported to reception, and the constant dripping was both annoying and wasteful. After the first night, the room had not been properly serviced, with a dirty glass left beside the bed and a used face washer left in the shower. The deck furniture was also broken and dirty. The restaurant was disappointing on our first evening, with a much better meal at a nearby winery. A lovely property with great potential, but it needs more attention to maintenance, housekeeping and, importantly, guest service.
