Small hotel, close to subway, Acropolis. We were attended by wonderful people!

Great location and friendly staff. Walking distance to Acropolis, placa and many restaurants and cafes just outside the hotel.

Rock hard bed and horrible WiFi. Extremely low and slow connection in the room. WiFi wasn't a big problem for me since I have all the surf I need within EU with my contract. But it would be a problem of you need to use the WiFi and it doesn't work.

Atmospheric hotel in a nice area close to the Acropolis. My room had a balcony so I spent a couple of hours in the morning working on my laptop enjoying fresh air. The surroundings swarm with tourists but it is also a residential area, so local cafes and restaurants are quite decent and inexpensive.

It's a bit run down so there are minor issues such as the location of electrical sockets and the door locks that need to be handled with care. But I treated it as part of the experience.

The receptionist snooker weed inside the hotel with the door closed and locked.. so the smell seaked in every room. The Window in my room was so old it can't close fully, so all the noice from cars, scooters etc kept me awake and cold every night. I tryed to put the temperature in the AC at 30.... But I still was Cold.

Very noicy areal. The where singing in speakers to long after 22:30. The elevator is onsafe. The showerhead has not been Cleaned in years it is not possible to get all weath because the water goes everywhere. .... And the showerhead can not be hung.

Very central and walking distance to all important sites/tourist attractions in a lively qurter. Very welcoming, nice host. Agreeable price.

Sound isolation in the rooms were very bad :( You could hear if someone else in the building (maybe 2 floors up) flushed and the pipes would make a loud noise for a good 5 minutes. This is not in control of the hotel management as the building is very old but important to note for other guests if they have very light sleep (or plan to book here with a baby :))

I was surprised at the location and the building. I couldn't recognize it with its exterior. Honestly it is not a hotel but small motel, inn. But the receptionist is very kind and gentle.

The location is great, walking distance to the Acropolis. In a quiet street and surrounded by many great restaurants and cafes. the room was spacious and the hotel looks really cozy!

The mattress was not super comfortable.

The Location was perfect to visit the city. The room was super clean and really comfortable. But we espacially have to point out our receptionist. We arrived very late and he was super friendly and arranged, that we could Stay in our room longer the next day. We can highly reccomend a stay in the Art Gallery Hotel, and we will come back!

The staff was very helpful and kind! The location is great! Very close to Akropolis and there are some nice places with good food and drinks!

Alex is fantastic, cheerful and happy to help with good advice. The neighborhood is great, with mostly local residents, a good selection of bars and eateries, and very close proximity (walking distance) to the Acropolis, Filoppapou Hill, the Acropolis Museum, the Olympeion, and the Metro. There are no hordes of tourists clogging up the neighborhood, though Plaka is only a ten or fifteen minute walk away if that is what you want.

I wish the shower head were located higher on the wall. That is literally the only thing that I didn't like.

Alex is a wonderful host! Family room was perfect. We stayed at Art Gallery two times and were delighted to stay so close to Acropolis but in a very quiet and nice neighborhood.

Loved everything about the hotel! Location could not have been better, right near the acropolis and so much else. I walked pretty much all over, but metro and bus stops are close if you want them. It’s not a luxury property, but I prefer this any day -the hotel has real personality, and Ada, Ethyl, and Alex, who manage the property, made me feel right at home. I had a lovely breakfast some days, but when there was no time, I could grab a coffee and typical Greek bite at place just nearby - no lack of little stores around, and they were open until late too. I wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else if I’m lucky enough to make it back to Athens (great city for a lot more than just the acropolis and plaza - worth a longer stay). Hope you enjoy your stay at the Art Gallery Hotel as much as I did. (Do reserve room with en-suite bath, and ask for street view - I had a teeny balcony, not big enough to sit outside, but still nice to have.)

Room was perfect for me, but if you’re two people and need lots of space, this may not be for you (that would be a shame ☹️)
