Suhaila Palace

The place was clean and had everything you needed. There was also a nice view over the water towards the fisherman’s village on the small island. Suhaila and her team are absolutely lovely and very kind. They all look after you. My wife got sick and they came with medicine and they tried their best to help. Suhaila helps with everything from boat to luggage and sightseeing and laundry. The place has a restaurant and a small shop.

This place was great! Great part of the island, quiet surroundings with a 15 walk through the jungle and we were walking to other beaches and restaurants. Staff was friendly, specially the lady from reception. Rooms are simple but cozy, and very clean. Nice view from the balcony

Location excellent. The staff Fathima and the girl cooking food are both stand outs of this place. The very best thing about this island was the snorkelling which is nothing to do with the accommodation.

Without the staff this place is just a poorly furnished shabby place with uncomfortable beds that just happens to be in a good location. For what it is it’s seriously overpriced. We checked the prices of goods on sale in the store with prices on the other island where they are about half as much. I think they bank on people staying put. I also felt the pictures on Booking.Com very misleading as I firmly believed I had booked a room on the upper floor. Instead we were put in a room downstairs in a corner with no view. The island is also filthy in places with plastic bottles and other rubbish just dumped on the beaches. They charge you to visit the island and a lot of locals are making good money off it so why can’t they clean it up too! The boat journey to get to the island was also horrendously bumpy felt like driving over rocks at times.
