Hotel Richmond Gare du Nord

The location across from the Nord train station was very good, although this was a bit of a metro ride to downtown. The hotel had an elevator, small but operational. The rooms and bathrooms had clearly been updated and were decent.

We booked this hotel because we thought breakfast was included in the fairly high price. That was our mistake. They provided a breakfast (nearby) each of our 3 mornings, but then informed us on leaving that it was on the order of E12 or more per person per day ( I don’t clearly remember). Their booking listing said it was available but not included. I doubt we got value for what we paid for breakfast.

Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was extremely clean and comfortable. Really appreciated the close location to Gare du Nord as we had a late arrival at CDG airport so to step off the train and into the hotel was brilliant.

Our room was next to the lift. All through the night and all morning the linen trolleys, housekeeping trolleys and noisy guests kept slamming their stuff into our room door which caused a very poor and disrupted nights sleep. I've unfortunately come to expect fellow guests to be noisy at unsociable hours in hotels but I didn't expect it from hotel staff. The shouting at 7am was ridiculous

Die Lage des Hotels ist fantastisch, direkt am Nordbahnhof, man kommt von hier sehr gut mit Bahn und Metro weg. Selbst der Ostbahnhof "Paris Est" ist nur ca.7 min zu Fuß entfernt. Das Personal war super freundlich, wir durften sowohl bei der Anreise als auch bei der Abreise unser Gepäck im Hotel lassen bis unser Zimmer fertig bzw. unser Zug abgefahren ist, das hat unseren Urlaub sehr viel angenehmer gemacht. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß, insbesondere das Bad war rießig! Es war auch alles sauber. Das Frühstück haben wir nicht genutzt.

Einmal hatten wir ein neues Duschtuch zu wenig (und das Alte war weg), mussten dann das Kleine zum Duschen nutzen. Dafür gabs am nächsten Tag dann 3 Neue Duschtücher.

The location of the property opposite Gare du Nord is great for travel onwards.

Our room was right next to the lift so there was some noise, especially later at night. The clothes storage was in the exceptionally large shower room but if used all clothes would have got damp when the shower was used . We kept our clothes in our suitcases in the bedroom. No kettle or drinks facilities in the room.
