Everything in the hotel and room are such good quality and the staff are all so helpful so it is a very special place. I loved my roll top claw foot bath and the huge comfortable bed. I am glad I spent extra on a higher grade room as it was worth it.

The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is set in stunning grounds and the rooms are furnished in keeping with the hotel, my bed was huge and extremely comfortable. I loved having a pillow menu! The Dyson hairdryer was an unexpected bonus. The hospitality tray was very well stocked and bottled water was supplied each day. The curtains were fantastic at blocking the light. My bath was luxuriously deep and the toiletries were high end and paraben free which is important to me. I was never kept waiting for more than 15 minutes for room service to bring snacks and drinks that I rang down for.

The meals in the restaurant were a tad disappointing, in particular the Sunday roast. It was a very strange combination if you wanted chicken or lamb. The broccoli that came with my dinner was served raw. I also think that the rooms should have a mini fridge to keep beverages cool.
