The garden and swimming pool areas were very clean and inviting. The hotel is close to the beach. They agreed to wash some of our clothes with the hotel’s washing machine and even hanged them for us which was very kind.
Based on the positive booking.com reviews and the not cheap apartment price we were expecting a care-free 8-night stay with our baby. Unfortunately this was not the case. The owner talking down on the staff and even harshly criticizing them in our presence often made us feel uneasy. Probably non Greek speaking guests might be spared of this, but then again negative emotions are not only communicated through the spoken word and linger in many different universal forms. Cleanliness was another issue as the apartment wasn’t serviced fully as often as it should have. This was due to the lack of communication and flexibility from the staff with regards to when they could come in and service the apartment given the fact that we had a 9-month baby with sleeping patterns that don‘t neatly fit the typical 10-12 am servicing windows. We have always been handled much more sensitively and respectfully from other hotels before that we didn’t expect such a difficult situation here (maybe we were only lucky before). Suffice it to say that explicitly blaming the customer for having to request some flexibility from the maid is not nice, let alone leaving the place uncleaned for at least half of our stay there… The breakfast could have been much more appealing if there was a bit more goodwill and positivity around it even with the same foods - it felt cheaper than what the hotel was charging. The breakfast time was 8-10 am and at 09:30 there were typically no more veggies available, even upon request - this irked us a couple of times. The kitchen in the apartment felt and smelled somewhat dated and wasn’t fully furnished - not very appealing. Finally if you have two floors and there is air conditioning only in one of them this should be clearly written in the description. From an architectural and safety point of view the stair connecting the two floors is adventurously tight - we did not happily use the stairs especially when holding the baby.

Insgesamt super..."
