The room was fresh and clean. Bedding was too. Facilities were also fresh and clean. Nice to be around other people looking for quality, friendly and a safe location to stay. Have already decided to book into Haka homes countrywide before any other accommodation when traveling and suggested to my family.
The noise of the extractor fan coming from the kitchen. People talking and coming and going and the sound coming through our open windows (because it was a really warm night. Mattress was a little too firm lol.. had no remote for tv

Location was great, and facilities were clean and abundant. Although I ate out each night, and didn’t actually venture into the shared kitchen/lounge area.
The car park around the back was tight and limited - large utes shut the whole space off, and when I left early on my last day, I had to reverse out the entrance as a car had just made the corner impossible to actually make. They charge $15 a day for parking, but the Rotorua council will charge you $12 a day for a permit, they have a weekly rate and it’s free between 3pm and 9am weekdays and all day on the weekends.
