With an engaged and helpful, accessible property manager, it could have been a much better stay. Bed bug spray left in the Master BR was not a good sign. Getting the kayak was way too complex. Never saw any sign that the pool guy had been. We've stayed at Carova houses 6 times now. This was the worst experience. First and last stay at Oceans End.

We had a wonderful week at Ocean’s End. Mark was very prompt in reaching out to me initially after we rented the property and then also right before we checked in to answer all my questions. The house was clean and well furnished for a great week with my grown kids and husband. So close to the beach and the pool was fantastic.

This was our 4th year at the house. We love spending time on the beach and enjoy the horses coming by. We love watching the birds. The fire department is right across from the house so it makes it convenient to get ice. The house is as described. Beach houses get alot of wear and tear especially rental properties, however the owners are working to keep up with the property and taking care of repairs. Manager and owner are great to work with.

Vacationed with our adult children, spouses, Navy friends, children and spouse. What a great week and a great house! All were nervous about the beach driving, but by the middle of the week it was no big deal. Loved the location, view, proximity the the beach and the wild horses. The horses seemed to be drawn to Ocean's End. The came by the house and grazed in the yard several times during the week. Mark communicated all relevant information, and Rhonda was attentive to our needs. Our son-in-law left some shirts in the closet, which she recovered and mailed back. Would book this property again if available for our next trip.

Throughout the stay I spoke with Rhonda the property manager multiple times as she was just super friendly, not to mention I wanted to check on her after her accident. I also spoke with Mark who called to check in on us to see if there was anything we needed. The location of the house is perfect. The horses hang out there every day. Amazing location. Certainly a once in a lifetime experience. And yes a 4x4 vehicle is required.

This house was an amazing place to stay, there were 11 of us, ranging in age from 2-76 yrs. The horses came by almost every day & were fantastic to see. We were close to the beach & really enjoyed the pool, although it was a bit smaller than I thought. It was certainly adequate as we were never all in it at the same time. Beds were comfortable & Rhonda was very accommodating as we arrived almost 2 hours early after a 10 hour trip. The house was clean & better stocked than had been stated. Unfortunately the swing set was no longer there & would have been perfect for the little ones but in the end didn't matter. There were many lights out, maybe due to the recent storm & they were way too high for us to change. Lots of games & toys for the little ones. The grill had not been cleaned by the last people so we did that & found we had to undo the propane tank every time before we used it & bleed the line but then it worked fine. Loved all the porches & spent most of our time out there or at the pool. You really do need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to access this remote spot but it is serene & peaceful. All in all it was a great place to stay & the kids had fun with the kayaks. Thanks so much.

Property is good, meets all our needs. We have been traveling to the outer banks for many years now, and we enjoy fishing and gathering on the beach, so it makes more since for us to leave out things packed on the trucks and drive to the beach daily. We spend all our time on the beach or just relaxing at the house. We have no desire to go out and about for other activities so Oceans End gives our family exactly that. We love having the tower next to the house it makes it easy to find our way home in the dark. The house manager and owner are great to work with.

It was a very nice place. you can see the ocean from the top floor and it was a 5 min walk to beach or we also drove right on the beach which was pretty much our own private beach. Only disadvantage is 30 min ride on the beach to get to a store.

The house was perfect! Everyone enjoyed the pool and the beach! It was so nice to see the wild horses everyday at the house. Also we watched the osprey's feeding their babies in their nest in a tower by the fire station.

From August 17th to August 24th myself and 14 other members of my family had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Oceans End! The house itself was amazing, clean and more then enough room for my family. They say first impressions are everything and this house gave a great first impression! Everything that is advertised is true! We saw wild horses every day of our vacation. So close you can almost touch them, but don’t 😉. The drive on the beach while long was an amazing experience as well. One of the best days we had was on the lake with the canoes, paddle boards and kayaks. This day was made possible because of Rhonda who was very accommodating and tolerated our eagerness to be in the water very well. She met us at the lake after several phone calls and some coordinating and explained everything to us and even let us use extra kayaks. I can go on and on about how great this house and the owners were but my advice is to experience it yourself! Trust me and my family when we say you will not be disappointed! Thank you Mark and Rhonda for an amazing 2019 family vacation from my family to yours!!

Ocean’s End was a great property for our family’s annual beach vacation. We were looking for a new location and have found an excellent choice on the 4x4 beach of Corova. Mark was excellent in communicating with us and presents a nice, clean, and spacious home. Mark’s on-site manager, Rhonda, was helpful and timely with any request. If you are looking for a completely chill vacation and want to experience something remote, yet accessible, Ocean’s End in Corova Beach is an excellent choice. Thanks for a great week Mark!

We enjoyed being at the house. Very relaxing. Not far from beach. Plenty of room. Great time had by all.

The home is is great. The access is easy amd the communication and friendliness of the owner and manager is great. We needed another set of sheets and the manager was there within 15 min to bring them.

The time our family had at this location was amazing. If you want family time, a beautiful beach in an out of the way location this house is for you! You really do need four wheel drive and pack heavy on food stuffs as the nearest market is 8.5 miles down the beach. No regrets! Just beach ,sun, and peace!

This was our first time to the Outter Banks. The 4x4 section was AMAZING. The owner did notify us ahead of our check in that the air conditioning unit was needing replaced on the second floor and offered a full refund if we wanted to cancel due to the issue. We went regardless lol and the owner was able to get it replaced quickly a few days into our stay. Everything at the house was in good working order and comfortable. It felt like a home for a week, not a hotel/condo. We saw the wild horses daily in the yard and the quick drive/ walk to the beach was easy. Also loved that at night it was completely QUIET, no road or city traffic. My only complaint so to say is that the water supply to the house was very stinky. I understand this to be due to the location on the island, being a country girl this was easily overlooked, but I'm guessing some people wouldn't be happy with that. WONDERFUL STAY and we would certainly go again! Thank you.

Great except it really, really, really needs a whole house cleaning! The dishwasher is dying. Guests who throw cigarette butts over the pool fence should be penalized. We cleaned up the outdoor trash ourselves. I left other suggestions with the property manager.

This property is about a 30 minute drive up the beach of the Outer Banks. This house is very large and has multi levels. The horses come right up to the house and when we walked on the beach we saw the wild horses every day. This is easiest to get to during low tide however with 4 wheel drive it can be obtained at any time. I felt very safe at the house. The house does has a Volleyball court but didn't play on it. The pool is a good size to play with family and the hot tub is nice also The pool table in basement the kids made use of several times. If you have anyone with difficulty going up or down the stairs this is not the house for you as there are stairs to go up and down all day long. There is a master bedroom on top floor which has the living room and kitchen.

The house and property were great with wild horses coming past the house and into the back yard. Very close to the beach with access by vehicle or a short walk. Great time of year to find some great shells.

This house is great. Its well appointed. Its clean and comfortable. Great for mutiple families sharing. The homeowner was very accomodation and responded quickly to our needs. Overall, great experience and we will hopefully be renting again in the future.

About half way up the beach, I was ready to turn around and go home. We were kind of "lost" because we didn't trust the instructions of going 8.5 miles up the beach. I kept seeing signs with different number that confused me. Just drive. Drive the 8.5 miles and follow someone else that can navigate what is ahead. Look for the (small-ish) yellow diamond shaped road sign with a black fire truck on it at the beach access entry. Also, the entire mile prior to approach, you can see a TALL but thin, gray tower. It is far taller than anything else around. It has a blinking red light on it. We were arriving right after a storm, very close to high tide and I was REALLY nervous. FYI: the next time and all the following times down the beach were MUCH less stressful. Beautiful and large home. I appreciate how, unlike other rentals I've been in, your maintenance/cleaning people actually LEAVE useful items like garbage bags, soap, dishwasher tabs, etc. I know these are not to be counted on being there but certainly nice that they were. Most of the game consoles, DVD players were unusable and not working without some technical know-how on the cords. BUT you should be at the beach anyhow, lol. The drive to the beach took a little longer than expected because of all of the craters in the road. On their first time in, people should DEFINITELY follow someone else in to know where to drive. Do NOT go in the holes when they are filled with water unless you can walk through it first or follow someone else. It feels like you a baha-ing. I'd say 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 feet deep gently sloping craters make it crazy but fun. FYI: we had a AWD vehicle, Cadillac Escalade ESV, which made it through the sand and holes just fine. But saw similar vehicles with rear wheel drive get stuck. Nice pool, lots of pool toys/floaties, boogies boards, chairs. We used the huge pot and our propane tank to do 2 dozen corn and fry fish. Tried the crab trap with no success. Horses...not only did we see them every single day, we saw them multiple times a day, several at a time. One day, they even became a nuisance when they parked themselves in the small area between the pool and house and stayed there for 2 hours, blocking our access to the propane tank, which was basically in one horses crotch, lol. We finally went to talk to the fire dept about what to do. (flashlights!!) They said this is a FAVORITE HOUSE FOR the HORSES!! so cool!!! Lots of passing horse tours watching us!

This house was great. The owner Mark was so good to answer questions in a very quick manner. We wete very pleased with the home. There were horses at the hpuse everyday. The convienance of the fire department for ice and snacks was great for the us as well as the kids. We liked it so much we booked again before the end of our stay.

Had a great time. Getting to the house was a little rough the first time but we made it. Great time spent with the family!!
