verandah muddy with 20mm water had to unblock drain as no staff on site did not see any staff in 2 days except cleaner when dishwasher played up, gps said 480mtrs walk to shopping and beach they don’t tell you it’s up a steep hill to return lots of people could not walk it especially with groceries, location 3 star Office staff1 star,

A very well set up room with everything we needed

the bathroom was great- nice space

Spacious, light well appointed 1 bedroom apartment with well equipped kitchen and washing machine. Stunning view from balcony over Bay of Islands. Friendly management.

Bed was uncomfortable - if you moved or rolled over the mattress bounced the other person around, so badly it could wake them up. Dryer didn't seem to work. Very steep walk from Paihia to apartment. Not suitable for people with any knee problems or small children. We had to drive quite a bit because of the difficulty walking, but parking very limited in Paihia.

Very luxurious and clean apartment. Good location near town centre (via a steepish hill). Spa bath was fab, appreciated inclusion of bath salts, candles and matches. Generous coffee/tea/mini bar supplies. Indsutrial washing facilities.

AC not working in bedroom when weather was very hot, not notified in advance and no discount offered for this which was a bit disappointing. Upstairs had TV on loud after quiet hours and the ceilings are thin. I note from a prior review other guests have had similar problems, would suggest including the quiet hours in the welcome letters (particularly for room 3).

They showed a picture of a sea view there wasn't that was misleading

Lovely position, but it is as the top of a steep hill. Was OK for us, but may be limiting for others. Other than that, it’s a convenient location for walking into Paihia. Well equipped, nicely laid out, plus there was a washing machine and dryer

Important to realise that these apartments were originally a single house, and so the sound insulation isn’t up to hotel standards. The folks upstairs weren’t too noisy but even when they walked about during the night it was noticeable downstairs. Note that this is in a very quiet location generally though, so all sounds stand out. In particular though, the bathroom noise of water running was quite loud, but nothing compared to when our upstairs neighbour decided to run the bath and then have a long jacuzzi at 6AM!

Quiet and peaceful

No bowl in kitchen to make or serve salad from. Headboard not stable against bed - every time someone turns over it knocks against the wall. Surprised no tissues in bathroom.

Beautiful home and comfy beds

Everything was perfect even when the hot water ran out the staff were in it immediately awesome

I loved almost everything, the view, the set up, the bath, the art, the fireplace.

The only thing I didn't like was the headboard not being attached to the bed so every movement made the headboard bang on the wall.

Comfortable and peaceful apartmen with plenty of space. Lovely jacuzzi bath and good toiletries. Nice complimentary fridge items.

Slightly ageing & in need of some minor maintenance but characterful & stylish accommodation ‘Smart’ tv not brilliant at times and kept buffering. Bedroom tv was dvd only - could have done with freeview. Shame it’s not walkable into town.

The view, the suite, the quietness and peacefulness around is no sounds of cars. Will recommend this for anyone who wants a quite night, want to spend time with their partner and be away from the buzz.
