Lovely gardens and serene setting. Spacious room and breakfast is very good.
Location is difficult to get to and from motorway and although on paper distance from City Centre seems reasonable it takes a lot longer.
Only got 24 hour notice that we may be affected by function room noise. The room was directly above and it was very noisy until 1am. Would be beneficial for these rooms to be allocated to guests attending the function.

Dinner was fantastic at the Orchid restaurant. Breakfast was also super.!
We did arrive to a broken door handle in the bathroom. Although it was explained to us the reason how this happened, it was frustrating. We were given a free drink at the bar to compensate for this, but we now feel like a room move may have been more appropriate. We also felt like the property was also very noisy between 11 and 1pm due to the party which was happening down stairs again reducing the overall quality of our stay.
