Shah of Persia, Poole by Marston's Inns

The barman was attentive and cheerful and seemed happy in his role. Gave us a warm welcome. The bedroom also looked a bit dated but was absolutely spotless. Full marks to your cleaner. The sheets had ironing creases and not only looked very inviting but were. Comfortable bed.

Overall the pub looked a 'bit tired' and some of the carpets by the bar could do with a spring clean also the stair carpet to the bedroom. Tap water was exceedingly hot very quickly, probably too much so.

A really good place to stay either for getting an early ferry or coming off a late ferry. 10 minutes from the port.easy to find. Room was perfect room8. ( only slight issue was the air extractor ,I think, outside the window. Was quite noisy. But no big deal). The shower was super powerful and hot. The young lad who booked me in and sorted my room, beers, parking etc was very helpful and friendly. A real asset. 👍. Breakfast was good. And checkout was great up to 11am. Definatly worth checking out if you’re in Poole.

Its location mainly

It was too near the main road where ambulances and police went by, under where our room was located.

Central location to where I needed to be. Free parking on site. Staff were friendly upon checking in. Paid breakfast in the morning was good.

The room i stayed in was quite small, dated, but ok. Dusty in places as my black clothes picked it up. The room was very hot (but this summer has been) the little fan in the room didn't do much & neither did having the windows open. Sleep was disturbed by the big industrial fan/extraction unit just outside my room window.
