Boutique Taghostel

I loved the location, it was right on the waterfront and very accessible to the marina for water activities, the old town, and the beaches. Its a smaller hostel with maybe less than 20 guests at a time so I had a lot of privacy in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The all female bedroom had lots of hooks, 2 vanities, a small lockable box for your belongings and the beds were very comfy. The common areas in the hostel were very cozy and genuinely felt like a home; there was a TV, dining room, and book shelf with tons of books. The hostel is quiet and definitely draws a more mature crowd which was nice for a more relaxed vacation in Lagos. The rooftop was an added bonus where you could watch the sunrise/sunset over the water.

I might just be too used to bigger and newer hostels with electronic entry systems but it was a little annoying having to deal with a physical key to get into the hostel and then having to lock/unlock the room with a key everytime you leave. Sometimes, the room would remain unlocked the entire day because someone else forgot to lock the door, however I did not experience any theft or issues in the 3 days I was there. I didn't like that the kitchen and reception would only open after 8:30 am as many people get their days started well before 8:30 am and need access to the kitchen for breakfast. While I appreciated the free baggage storage, there is no storage room but just a corner of the lobby that you're asked to leave your belongings and cannot keep them past 5 pm. I also wish the bedrooms had bigger lockers to store your entire belongings, especially considering that the doors do not automatically lock.

Empfang durch Filipa auch nach 22 Uhr hat hervorragend geklappt. Wir waren in einem 2er Zimmer Stockbett mit Klimaanlage untergebracht. Sehr schönes Zimmer. Nebenan Duschen und WC. Danke Filipa, kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr netter, hilfsbereiter Staff! Zentrale Lage, tolle, sehr große, teils beschattete Terasse und schöner Aufenthaltsraum in der mittleren Etage, gut ausgestattete, helle Küche, Strandtasche zum Ausleihen, qualitativ hochwertiges gratis Duschgel

Sehr kleine ( per Hand zu öffnende ) Mülleimer, in die das benutzte WC-Papier entsorgt werden soll, die morgens übel stinken. Wasser der Duschen läuft bis in die WCs. Bad riecht häufig sehr modrig und die Duschen zeigen deutliche Schimmelspuren. Eine WC-Tür lässt sich nicht mehr öffnen, sobald die Badtür geöffnet wird. Bettdecken sind hauchdünn. Frierenden Gästen wird als Ergänzung eine dünne Plastikfleecedecke angeboten. Truhen im Dorm viel zu klein und kaputt, Kommoden schmutzig und riechen streng muffig. Lediglich ein kleiner Haken am Bett bei dem das Handtuch das Handtuch des Nachbarn berührt. Im Bad 3 Haken für mind. 6 Menschen ( + Nachbarzimmer) und 4 Ablageflächen. In der Küche reichen Platz im Kühlschrank und für Lebensmittel außerhalb höchstens für 6-8 Menschen. Das Hostel hat aber deutlich mehr Betten. Ein Wäscheständer für alle reicht ebenfalls kaum, bei dem großen Haus.
