Right in the castle grounds perfect

Beautiful old Rurale in a picturesque medieval hilltop fortress town with an interesting museum of "Giants" and castle. The room is very comfortable and well appointed with modern features. Really a nice place!

The breakfast was not much to get excited about. Just some bread and jam with juice and coffee. Parking can be a bit tricky, especially if you arrive late on the day before market day as we did.

Size of room, good bed, nice bathroom, location in village centre.

1. The checking in system was a nightmare! There was no reception so a few days before a message was emailed to check in on line, then one would receive a code to use on a keypad to enter the hotel and the room. The site wouldn't respond, despite many attempts. Nor was the phone answered. We spent several days imagining turning up and not being able to get into the hotel, which we'd paid for. Very stressful! At the last minute someone answered the phone but communication was difficult. The owner met us to give us the code and then disappeared. 2. There was no restaurant, bar, terrace or breakfast, as advertised...partly the reason for choosing this hotel. 3. The cleaner was rude to us because we hadn't left earlier, though we were well within the departure time stated on our booking.

The central location was fabulous. I loved the uniqueness of the decor with antiques and stone walls. It was comfortable, clean and the wifi was fast.

The only downside was the lack of parking for a car. My husband parked along side the road behind the area where other cars were parked. There was no signage indicating that it wasn’t public parking. The next morning there was a ticket on our windshield saying it was only for the apartments on the hill above it. Of course, this is not the fault of our lodgings…just a cautionary tale.

Location was great. Very nice building. Breakfast was OK, possibly over priced.

Parking can be free, but it isn't at the hotel; it's up the street a bit and is basically just street parking.

The bedroom was very clean.

It was not light enough in the room and it was a little bit expensive having in account that we have not had the breaksfast included.

Great location in the old center of Puebla de Sanabria. Rooms were big, clean and comfortable.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect, right in the centre of the village. The breakfast, although not included in the price in totally worth the 5 euros charged. Easy to check in and out using a code provided by the host.

The only thing I did not like was the green emergency light in the room which did not allow to have a the room in total darkness.
