Really loved the boutique feel and architecture of the building with 'treehouse' interior--its overall hotel style--not to mention it was a superb location with rooftop pool (not big but quaint) as a bonus amenity. Next door is a large Family Mart. Ground floor is Tom's World arcade 24H, and the hotel is 5 blocks or so from Liuhe Night Market. Breakfast dining was comfortable though chairs were obviously outdated. Breakfast food was also varied (East & West) and very good. I enjoyed the beverage selections which included soymilk, Yakult, coffee, orange drink (not quite juice/ it was like a no-pulp less carbonated tang). Bathroom amenities were more than sufficient. Room was well-decorated with very thoughtful amenities (including in-room refridgerator, a decent enough-sized in-room safe which could fit a 15" laptop, and a hair clip for ladies!). Pillows and comforter had superb comfort. In-room tea delicious.

Would have given an 8.0 if the overall quality of everything wasn't so rundown-looking. Carpets looked worn and dirty. Breakfast dining chairs very worn down. Even reception chairs dirty with stains and looking overly-worn. Mattress was too firm. Hotel room door had a very big gap from the floor. I did not like not having a peephole cover. I didn't mind so much that they still used older elevators to the rooms as it added to its charm but it wasn't particularly well-lit inside--very dark inside (but the elevator to the 3rd floor lobby was much newer and better lit). The Booking.com photos for the hotel advertising appear in much fresher/newer condition than in reality.

The breakfast was good and staffs are accomodating, pretty cheap too and clean

The pool was close, it was kinda disappointing since it's the main reason why we booked in the hotel

they did not indicate that pool is closed and under renovation, the booking said it was open

The hotel is nice and our stay for 2 days was comfortable. The breakfast is also good.
